I don't want to uninstall Spotify to avoid the problem. Is it true that the Android on Samsung Galaxy S6 just doesn't have settings for default music app (for remote-controlled play/pause)? I would like to try to just set no default music app, and see if the Spotify app would then "mind its own business" when I'm listening on another app. I only have one mobile device, so I can't test on another device - sorry. If the problem is one of the headphones, I think it would be both of them. The issue is there with wired headphones as well as Bluetooth headphones, so there's no pairing reset to fix the problem when using wired headphones. The app is still starting when I just want to stop playing audio in another app by using headphones.
